What is a cookie?
A cookie is a file that is downloaded onto your computer when you access some websites. Among other things, cookies allow a website to store and retrieve information about a user’s or a user’s machine browsing habits. Depending on the information they contain and how your computer is used, they can also recognise the user.
They improve the quality and security of the website. They have an expiry date, which can range from the session’s duration to a specified future date after which they cease to be operational.
