• Support to new business initiatives through training and advice for feasibility studies (100% subsidized).
• Support to already established businesses through specialized advice for the implementation of a commercial innovation plan (100% subsidized).
• Subsidies for projects or actions of a clearly innovative nature, which represent a significant investment effort and which imply a relevant impact on the city.

In BIG Bilbao, entrepreneurship center of Bilbao Ekintza, we offer you support during the whole process of creation, since your project is an idea, in the development and analysis, the start up, and the first year of life of your business.

The entrepreneurial person has specialized and personalized help in all its phases, adapting the services to his or her competence profile, to the activity sector in which his or her project is located, as well as to the moment of the analysis cycle in which the project is.

In any case, in general, there is a period of six months for the feasibility study and the realization of the business plan.

Bilbao Ekintza is a collaborating entity of Lanbide, Basque Employment Service, in the execution of the call for aid to support people who promote new business ideas, as well as the call for aid to start up new business activities.

We also act as a collaborating entity of the Provincial Council of Bizkaia, in its call for subsidies for the promotion of self-employment and the creation of companies by unemployed people and those at risk of exclusion.

The person tutoring your project at BIG Bilbao will inform you of all the grants, subsidies or competitions called by other entities and to which you may be eligible.

At BIG Bilbao, Bilbao Ekintza’s entrepreneurship center, we support and advise you to carry out your Business Plan, within a personalized support itinerary, which you will be able to adapt according to the progress of your project.

In any case, the people of the promotion team are responsible for the realization and analysis of the business plan, with the guidance and advice of the BIG team.

In November 2020, Bilbao City Council, through its municipal company Bilbao Ekintza, launched the #BONOBILBAO campaign, within the Aurrera Bilbao Plan, to help the four sectors most affected by COVID-19 in the city: Commerce, culture, restaurants and tourism (accommodation and tourist activities).

After the success of the Commerce, Culture and Hospitality vouchers of the Aurrera Bilbao 2020 Plan and the Commerce vouchers of the  Aurrera Bilbao 2021 Plan, the Culture and Hospitality Voucher campaign of the Aurrera Bilbao 2021 Plan is now starting with the adhesion phase for businesses and establishments.

From 8 September, the different companies in the cultural and hospitality sector can join the plan, while the public will be able to purchase the vouchers from October onwards. In this way, more than 155,000 vouchers will be launched (124,000 for hospitality and 30,529 for culture) with a budget of 1.5 million euros, which will encourage direct consumption by the public with the aim of economically reactivating these sectors.

Businesses can join at www.bonobilbao.eus. Businesses in the hospitality sector have until 22 September to join, while the cultural sector can do so until the end of the campaign in February 2022. Establishments participating in previous Bilbao Hospitality and Culture Voucher campaigns will receive an e-mail to confirm their participation in this new edition, without the need to register again.

Likewise, the Bilbao Bizkaia Tourism Voucher scheme, promoted on this occasion jointly by the City Council and the Regional Government, is also currently active.

In Bilbao Ekintza we organize and support the realization of events of interest due to their economic and social impact, derived from the attraction of visitors, the dynamization of tourism and the commercial activity of the city.

Bilbao and Bizkaia have first class infrastructures together with a network of highly qualified companies and organizations that promote or collaborate in the conceptualization or development of large international events as well as smaller events with a unique character.

In Bilbao Ekintza we will review your proposal and provide you with information and advice on any aspect related to the design and organization of your event. We will also put you in contact with companies in the sector, and with the different areas of the Bilbao City Council to carry out and process permits.
