BIG Bilbao is the Bilbao Ekintza Entrepreneurship Center, launched in 2017 by the Bilbao City Council in coordination with other agents. Nowadays, it is a reference infrastructure for business creation in the city.

It is a space to start up business projects that generate economic activity and employment in Bilbao, accompanying those people who want to undertake throughout the process of creation and consolidation of the company.

In this sense, it seeks to create a comprehensive service catalog that provides value, in an environment open to citizens and equipped with services and infrastructure adapted to their needs.

Bilbao Ekintza develops studies and works of prospection in order to know better the reality of the commerce in the city.

It has an information and strategic surveillance system of the commercial sector in Bilbao, in order to obtain and exploit valuable information to improve decision-making processes and the definition of actions to support local trade.

In addition, it develops a proactive work of prospecting in all the commerce of the city offering the services of Bilbao Ekintza and collecting suggestions and needs. In addition, this allows him to have a data base updated to contact and to offer our services.

Local companies: Natural or legal persons of a private nature, with a work center and economic activity in the territorial area of the municipality of Bilbao and who meet the following requirements:

• Be up to date with your tax and social security obligations
• Not to have obtained nor to obtain from another Administration or public or private entities any subsidy or aid, excluding the Social Security bonuses to formalize the hiring(s) framed in this call
• Not being penalized or administratively sanctioned

Bilbao Ekintza, through its Business Development and Employment area, organizes actions in different formats aimed at companies located in Bilbao and at no cost to them, such as; Webinars, workshops, forums, etc.

The theme of the training actions covers a wide range of issues, such as Economic-financial, digital transformation, mentoring, strategy, innovation, user experience, commercial, technology, etc.

Some of these actions are also associated with access to specific programs of individualized or personalized advice for businesses and companies in Bilbao by the best professionals in each field with which Bilbao Ekintza collaborates.
