Bizilabe

Bizilabe is a research centre for young people aged between 10 and 19, promoted in collaboration with Elhuyar Fundazioa. It focusses on stimulating interest in Science and Technology, entrepreneurship and creativity.

In the Bizilabe Bilbao space, the emphasis is on STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics) education, with the aim of developing science and technology competences among young people in an entertaining and fun environment, stimulating imagination and group work.

Young people are encouraged to explore the scientific method, developing theories and conducting experiments on their own, in an attempt to pull apart certain stereotypes associated with science and technology and to stimulate interest in these areas from an early age.

In this space, young people work on projects and take part in workshops. With the help of teachers, researchers, and coaches they develop their skills and move forward in their empowerment. At the same time, the project seeks to involve local businesses and their professionals, to provide mentoring and to act as real and close references, and to ensure that the projects developed by the young people are linked to the activity of a local company and the challenge it faces.

At Bizilabe, the activities offered come in three formats.
